Safer

Safer is a field safety communication app designed for the mobile field workers. Employees can receive the latest information on safety, share valuable job knowledge, recognize others for doing good work, report potential unsafe situations, and have seamless access to policies and procedures.

Safer was a start-up initiative by Habanero. Our goal was to create a safer and more productive environment for the Energy and Resources sector.

My contributions

I was responsible for designing the user flows and user interface. The team was made up of a couple of members from the leadership team and a senior engineer.

Process

I worked closely with the team on translating user and business requirements into the interaction flow. The overall process was quite agile. We iterated as we received feedback from the businesses.

Outcome

The overall user flow resonated well with potential customers. We were able to streamline some of the inefficiencies that field workers have regarding accessing job knowledge and being up-to-date with safety communications. Since we did not have time to look at every detail, some of the microinteractions could be revisited for refinement.
